The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Eric Musana urged born again Christians in Kagadi district to engage in several income generating activities aimed at creating wealth and improving their well being.
The legislator made the call on Sunday 6th Oct,2024 while officiating at a fundraising ceremony held at Kenga Christian Fellowship Church in Kagadi Sub- County Kagadi district.
The fundraising function was meant to raise funds for the construction of Kenga Christian fellowship church.
Musana advised Christians not to spend all their time in prayers but also venture into income generating activities to build their capacity of supporting church projects and improve their livelihoods.
“President Museven has always emphasized hard work to fight poverty, venture into commercial agriculture, rear poultry, goats or embrace coffee farming to beat the odds and prosper, prayers alone will not get you out of poverty” ,Musana told Christians.
MP Musana further said Kagadi sub-county like all other areas in the constituency has gained from his strategic leadership, citing construction of King Solomon Seed SS, electricity, land titles that were handed over to the people in Kenga parish, a health facility and the piped water project that is also in progress to increase access to safe drinking water.
“Before I became the member of parliament,Kenga was unknown to outside world, but now because of the transformation and infrastructure development, the Sub-County has been linked to other areas and now you can witness development in the sectors of electricity, roads, water, healthy facility and land titles”,Musana said.
The Member of Parliament asked the residents in Kagadi Sub-County to use the developed infrastructure in their area to start up income generating projects and get out of poverty.
He supported the church construction project with 500.000 shillings in cash.
