The state minister for public service Grace Marry Mugasa held a meeting on 5th October 2025 with the Kagadi district stakeholders in preparation for the national youth wake up rally scheduled for Wednesday 08th October,2025.
In the meeting held at the Kagadi district headquaters, Minister Mugasa said the national youth wake up rallies were launched by the state minister for youth and children affairs Dr.Baram Barugahara to task the civil servants implementing youth empowerment programs to give accountability on how such initiatives have benefited the youth.
For Kagadi district, the accountability meeting (baraza) will be held at Kagadi modal playground on Wednesday this week and rallies all youth to attend and receive accountability from their leaders on the use of funds allocated to the youth programs.
The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Eric Musana also rallies all youth to attend the rally and receive accountability on several government programs such Youth Livelihood program (YLP),PDM and Emyooga that were initiated by the NRM government to enhance household incomes.
He also urges the beneficiaries of the government programs such PDM and YLP to give success stories on how their lives have been transformed and highlight challenges for redress.
The Kagadi district woman MP Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi also urges all people to attend the baraza meeting and receive accountability from the district heads of department, adding that the youth wake up rally is timely and will benefit the local people.
Meanwhile, the Kagadi district Youth League chairperson Pascal Natamba says the youth will raise their voices and challenges they face seeking to access government programs to their minister for intervention.
The meeting was also graced by the Kagadi RDC Caroline Nanshemeza,LC5 chairperson Ndibwami B Yosia,NRM chairperson Karungi Erukana Mpoza, security teams, and other distinguished guests.
