Kagadi
The Kagadi Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Caroline Nanshemeza has rallied parents to send all children to their respective schools early enough so that they catch up with those who have already reported.
She made the call on Wednesday in an interview with Paradigm FM, shortly after schools reopened for the first academic term on Tuesday 10.
Nanshemeza also advised parents to provide all necessary scholastic materials, including books, pens, uniforms, and other requirements, to minimise interruptions to learning.
She stressed that investing in education is the best gift parents can give their children, describing education as a key foundation for a brighter future.

The RDC has cautioned teachers to remain dedicated to their duties for better results.
Nanshemeza has however asked all stakeholders and local leaders to carryout enforcement operations in all villages to ensure that no child remains at home. She threatens to arrest all errant parents that won’t send their children to school.
