Kagadi
Over UGX 80 million has been collected to support the roofing of Mambugu Seventh-day Adventist Church in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district.
The fundraising ceremony held Sunday 17th, at the church premises attracted a large number of Christians who gathered to support the roofing project.
While delivering his sermon, Bishop Mugenyi Anatori of western Uganda field urged Adventists to live with purpose and understand the reason for their existence. He noted that every Christian should have God’s mission to fulfill in their journey to success.
Bishop Anatori emphasized that everything people own belongs to God, calling upon Christians to give back to God as a sign of thanksgiving.
Dr. Benon Ruja, Director of Maganjo Millers, who was represented by James Kaita of the Sereso Billionaires Family of Adventists from Kampala, officiated at the fundraising ceremony. He emphasized the importance of hard work, even when starting from nothing.
Kaita encouraged Christians to offer precious things to God, noting that God Himself is precious and deserves the best from believers. During the fundraising drive, they contributed a cheque of UGX 32 million towards the roofing project.
Meanwhile, Joseph Kyalingonza, the church elder of Mambugu Seventh-day Adventist Church, thanked the Adventist faithful for turning up in large numbers to support the roofing of the church.
He called for continued collective support towards completing the project, noting that any support extended to Mambugu SDA Church would also inspire support for other places of worship.
